Don't know how close this is to their AD17e...Mine has the ovangkol body.. but's its the guitar that stopped the Gas

They are fairly different. The AD17 has V-Class bracing and solid wood construction. This one is C-Class with laminate back and sides and torrefied top.

I just picked up one of these 117s yesterday. These punch well above their weight class. I love having that torrefied spruce top. It makes the tone just a nice bit warmer and rounder sounding.
