Thanks. The Five Watt "Short Histories" are usually quite well done, although usually about electric gear. I hope that he does a few more acoustic ones.

Interesting video. I'm glad you shared; thank you.
I found it interesting that none the commentary highlighting the evolution of the models presented sound or tone as being the driving force for changes to models and the creation of new models. I was very surprised, and pleased, that William Tyler was mentioned in this video - love his music! He must be more popular than I imagine! Last edited by SingingSparrow; 08-20-2021 at 10:30 PM. |

I thought I would watch a couple of minutes of This video....with no intention of watching the whole thing.....
And I could not stop watching! Great video! |

Really fascinating and lots of history there. I didn’t know, but I have checked, that Dreadnaught can be spelled Dreadnaught or Dreadnought, and both are evident several times in this video.

Sure. I suppose that fact juxtaposed with a seemingly incessant search for tone prevalent amongst many of us who are fond of guitars seemed interesting. Perhaps that says something. Perhaps not. Cheers.

There are some great The Five Watt videos. I've seen a few and I saved this video to my Watch Later list a couple of days ago. I'm hoping that it's available in a podcast.

He consistently does a great job with the history of instruments.
