J15's are great guitars. I had one and liked everything about it, but I couldn't get used to the slim taper neck. Martin Monel Retro lights sounded best to my ears.

It was the same for me. My J-15 was a fantastic guitar, but I found the slim taper neck a bit too thin for my playing comfort. If only it had a thicker neck. Congrats on your J-15. They are criminally underrated!

Interesting Ellen and Zissou, I don't find the neck that thin. My 000 has a big soft V, and I am a fan of big necks, but I guess I've been playing so much electric lately that it didn't occur to me that it was thin on average for an acoustic. Memory tells me this neck is thicker than the Taylor BBT, but I might be surprised when I compare them. Honestly, it hasn't come out of it's gig bag since I got this new one...
