Default Bracing question ?

Hi All,

Hopefully someone can clarify this issue for me.

( sorry if its already been discussed to death ? )

I have a 2005 414ce-L10 ( Rosewood )... & i knew prior to purchasing that 2006 / 300 - 400's models were to be " re-voiced ". I could'nt wait or pre-order a 2006 414ce-L10 model, as I live down in Middle Earth - NZ where we are really lucky to see LTD's etc.

Love the guitar....!

Question :

I've been looking with in the Taylor & Frets.com websites at bracing images... & have noticed inside the sound hole/chamber on my 414ce-L10 the bracing appears to be slimmer than pre-revoiced bracing. Also the wooden plate under the bridge is in the style of the re-voicing that took place in 2003...

Does this mean that although the bracing is not " forward shifted " it is lighter in weight - ie in line with the 2003 changes ?

Did Taylor change its bracing on all models to the " re-voiced " slimmer weight during 2003 & kept the forward shifting & mid-range bracing for 500 series upwards only?

Just curious... Thanks

My understanding is that the 3xx/4xx were not revoiced until Feb. 2006. Not sure about any bracing changes that might or might not have happened in 2003 on the 3xx/4xx but I would think they didn't change it? Bottom line, I don't know LOL.
