Wow! That wood is gorgeous. And I'm totally digging the tortoise headstock. Congratulations you're one lucky guy.

You really hit this one out of the park! Pyramid bridge, tortoise binding and head stock overlay (wow), my favorite neck treatment (bound with nice purfling and no fret markers - now that's just plain pretty!), and did I mention the wood? Holy smokes - the wood.

If this sounds half as good as it looks, this one is a real keeper. Coming from SCGC I'm sure it does sound great too!

Congrats on a most exceptional guitar.

P.S. I think SCGC has some of the nicest looking cases. What a presentation!

Got to see it in person at NAMM. Even snuck in a few chords. It's truly a killer!

SCHNIKEY!!!! That is one stunning looking acoustic guitar! If it sounds half as good as it looks, I'd say you have a guitar for a lifetime...

How long do you have to wait to go get it? THAT may be the most difficult thing of all!

Seriously, enjoy that beauty... mahogany from "The Tree" was a main reason that I started looking around for another guitar, after 30 years of loving my Angus and never playing one guitar that could outshine it! There is something incredible about that mahogany...

Richard says 3 weeks. But then we started talking about a dealer "Roadshow". LOL Don't know if I could really stand that.

Man! I would think a "road show" would result in a SIGNIFICANT reduction in price! Seriously; I wouldn't want a bunch of people getting their paws all over my new guitar before I get the chance to!!!

When James Goodall finished my Grand Concert, just before the Healdsburg Show, he was quite pressed to complete the pieces that he wanted to have for that event. I volunteered to let him take my GC, if he wanted to...

James rolled his eyes and laughed and said, "No way do you want THIS guitar to go to Healdsburg..."!!! And I would think that folks at the Healdsburg show might be a tighter focus group (for acoustic instruments) than people who just happen to attend a SCGC Road Show...

In any event, here's hoping that she comes home to you very soon... I'm guessing you will give that guitar quite the reception!

You know we might build something else for a road show or I might not be able to let it go. The tease is still driving me crazy. I have 2 Healdsburg Guitars, they were just fine from the show. I'm pretty casual about my guitars, I've been so lucky in my guitar life, mostly for my knack for finding boards from "The Tree" and the support of both Santa Cruz and Breedlove over the years that in end I find my self just grateful. My ability to play doesn't match my collection of fine guitars, I enjoy them just the same.

I know Richard will not put it my hands in anything but pristine shape.

Jay,

I'm pretty much a Martinite but that is a guitar I would want to play, big mahogany fan.

Sure looks like a winner, sure it sounds like one too, enjoy........
