Not sure about this one, had a solid-top Fender Sonoran SEC for a while and, while it sounded great for a sub-$250 deal, it wasn't very enjoyable to play. Q.C. was way off, with glue and finish dropped all around the neck, tiny and sharp frets, and very high action. Finally got rid of it.

That said, Fender acoustics keep getting better and better, so if you play one you love, get it, and don't let me or anyone else here tell you otherwise.

All laminate. If you're set on all-hog, spend an extra $50 and get the CD140, which has a solid top.

I keep a CD 60 at my apartment in Poland to play when I'm here. It's all laminate, and for my purposes it's just fine. It has decent volume and the tone is clear.

Hi Mike - thankyou for the input. I've changed my order to the CD140… for a small increase. Can't wait to get it early May now

I have Cd-140s. Solid spruce top, laminate mahogany back and sides.. Bought it at a yard sale for 30 bucks. It is actually an amazingly nice guitar for something that retails for 200.00. Mine has a perfect set up. Very easy to play and the fit and finish are excellent. I keep it in my office as my work noodler.

As you can see in my sig, I have a CD140sce (spruce top, not hog) - got it used for $200, they were selling new @ $300 at the time. I compared it to a lot of other $300-$350 guitars at the time, including Fenders, Yamahas, Epiphones, and liked the sound and feel of it more than any other models, although a couple of the Epis were a close 2nd. I particularly liked the slim neck, feels much like my Tele.
