Default picked this wechter grand auditorium up earlier in the week

picked this wechter up earlier in the week, it had extra light strings on it and a god awful fret buzz going on across the board. Was a really decent price. And after looking it over knew it just needed some setup work and some better strings. So I took it home.
Already have a couple wechters and they are very nice quality pieces for the Money. This one is a GA-8221-CE Solid woods front and back with a fishman barndoor element setup in it.
Pulled the strings off and ended up pulling a shim out from under the saddle that someone put in to try and fix the buzzing. Put some fresh Martin lifespan mediums on it. And then went about setting up the Neck, It was pretty Flat to almost a reverse bow going on with it. After a few small adjustments on the truss Rod, ended up being about 2/3 of a turn when all was said and done, it now plays flawlessly up and down the neck. No buzz unless your really heavy handing it. Now thinking about what to do with the Electronics in it. Here it is

Thanks, it'll definitely be a lot happier at it's new home than where it was. LOL
Kewl, a fellow Michigander, right next door. I'm in Clarkston.
Cheers!

That's cool. It's a shame the Wechter brand didn't do well in the marketplace. Abe Wechter is a heck of a builder.

I'd like to check out one that was actually built by Abe. Have only ever seen pictures of them here on the net and on his current website.
The build quality on these Import ones is top notch. Would like to find a triple O rosewood 12 fret TO-8428. You rarely see them come up for sale. Think everyone that has one likes it too much too sell. I know I sure like the TO-8418 already have. Will try and capture some audio of this one sometime this week if I hit an open mic or something.
Hope everyone is having a Grand Weekend? Work work work here, the eagle fly's tomorrow morning around 5:30 AM.
Cheers!

If I bought it would have been a USA model . These guitars are like some others in the sense hard to find good audio and in stock .

I had a friend who had a local store and I tired to set them up to get a dealership but it did not work out maybe it close of end of times not sure but it was just before they went Sweetwater anyway I sure wanted one but just dang illusive to hearing one up close and personal .

I'd sure like to hear yours if get a recording

Congrats on the new guitar.

Keep it in the data center? Or are you keeping the rest of the IT team entertained?

Good old sub floor tiles are such dead give away. LOL! Just like bringing things with me to work to play around on during moments of needing to pull hair out of head, and breaks. Am on the dreaded midnight shift and it's a ghost town round here at night.
