Light-Medium strings
Do any of you guys use light-medium strings? I'm talking about sets that are matched, usually starting with 12.5s. Many makers just take three bass strings from a medium set, and three treble strings from a light set, and call them LMs. Martin is the only company I know of that makes actually makes a set where each string is in between its medium and light counterparts. Any others? I had been using mediums for years and tried the Martin SP 80-20 L/M set -- they sound better, are more shimmery and glossy, and are easier to play.

I use the 80/20 Martin LMs on my Rainsong - gives me more tone without too much tension.

Yes, indeed I do use them. Martin SP's in fact, on a dread or two and a smaller guitar as well. I like them for certain tunes.

I use them exclusively on my J45 and my HD28V. I use the phosphor bronze flavor as I like the warmth. Great strings for my purposes.
