Thanks Pegleg--my great grandfather was one of your neighbours as a boy so I should have known better! I hear the accent and just assume "London," although I'd guess there are distinct ways of speaking within the UK--I'm lucky if I can tell an Aussie's accent from a Brit

There are a lot of great contemporary players I enjoy, but my favorites are guys like Robert Johnson, Blind Willie McTell, Blind Blake,.. and this guy, the fabulous J.B. Lenoir

Ah, great new additions. Of course Cockburn and love that vid of Juber playing In My Life. What a sweet sounding guitar. Does Mark Knopfler have acoustic recordings?

One I don't remember seeing here that I just got turned onto is Clive Carroll. Great stuff
