Default Acoustic Christmas Music

Roger Hoard, who once gave guitar lessons to Brad Paisley, has a nice guitar Christmas CD out. His website is http://www.rogerhoard.com/

THE GIFT and STAR OF WONDER are two nice holiday CD's by Tingstad and Rumbel.

Larry Carlton and Russ Freeman also have nice guitar-oriented holiday CD's.

Steven Colbert - A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All
lol... jk.
Not exactly acoustic, but Shane & Shane - Glory in the Highest is a great Christmas album. I love their version of O Holy Night.

You might want to check out the My Favorite Martin CD which came out a couple of months ago. Lots of great players on their Martins.

One of my all-time favorite Christmas albums (and it does have a fair amount of acoustic instrumentation) is Kathy Matthea's "Good News" CD. No real traditional Christmas songs here, but some great arrangements flawlessy played and sang. My daughter and I recorded Janis Ian's "Emanuel" which made it to the old TGF Christmas CD a few years ago. First heard that song and "Mary Did You Know" from Kathy's CD. Highly recommended!

OK. I'll tell you straight up that any of the New England Christmastide recordings on North Star Records are outstanding. In my opinion they are the best acoustic Christmas albums ever. (and I own many)

Emmylou Harris' "Light of the Stable" is an absolutely gorgeous acoustic Christmas album. The harmony vocals on the title track by Dolly Parton and Neil Young will give you goosebumps...
