Default Ahem...

Let me introduce myself:

I am a gifted young musician....

Seriously, I have already given two electrics (a Strat-style one I built) and a five-string bass to my grandson. I love my grandson, but e never plays them. I suppose he might pick them up someday and remember his times playing with me, but unlikely.

My "nice" guitar right now is a Red Plus Furch. I prefer it go -- at a large discount -- to someone who will make good use of it. If that gets too complicated, my wife has instructions on how to sell it and can pocket the change.

My wife dont play and my daughter shows no interest so i guess that when it’s time for me to go i’ll sell them and make sure they get cash instead.
Then they will hopefully end up with someone who enjoys playing and the family dont have to do that because im sure they would only feel guilty about it.

Hi 6l6

I'm 72 yrs old, and my wife gets them. What she does with them will be up to her. We have discussed where we'd like to place the best 3 of them.

When I die, my guitars all go back to the dealer or manufacturer since I'm renting them...

I'd like to see all my skis, bikes and guitars get into the hands of my friends when I pass. A number of us have pairs of skis from a friend who passed away too soon, and they're a precious memory for all of us. I've told my family, it all can go to whoever they think should have it... except the '46 LG2. I'd like to see that one stay in the family and get passed down, even if they're not players and it just hangs on a wall. It really is timeless piece like that old mirror or carpet from your great grandmothers house that belongs in the family. Like to think my grandson or great grandson will play some 100 or 150 yr old blues on a 100+yr old guitar

I'd like to see my Niece's son get at least some of my stuff. He's been playing for the past 10 years or so. Have bought him an American Strat, and a Taylor 210. Would like to see him move into Gibson.

Nice, Jeff. This comment wins the day!

My son is a player, so I'll give him the half dozen best ones. The rest: I will give away the cheaper (but good playing) ones to a school or someplace else that can use them. The other few may get sold before I play my final song.

I suspect that my wife will happily accept $500 for my 000-18, $75 for my '65 Vibro Champ, $300 for the '78 LP Custom, and donate the rest to Goodwill. Sigh.

My two kids will get all my guitars (and other stuff too). What they do with them is up to them. I really won't care at that point

Make sure you slacken the strings off, wouldn't want to see you get hurt.

Yes, I shall leave clear instructions. Possibly remove the endpins too, just in case. It's quite a long journey after all.

Neither of my sons play. My wife does, but she has 3 guitars and other instruments. My dreadnought is going to a friend in California and my slope shoulder to a friend in Georgia. Come to think of it, they are both older than me. So maybe I'll be getting guitars from them.

I want my daughter to have “daddy’s guitar” my trusty Taylor DN7. The rest I would want my brother, who get me to play in the first place, to just fool around with.
