Springsteen played that same Telecaster until if almost fell apart!

Paul's '64 Epiphone Texan. He wrote and recorded Yesterday on it. To my knowledge he still plays it in concert sometimes. He stuck the Detroit Redwings sticker on it in Detroit during a concert there years ago. (Since others have included electrics you could also add Paul's '65 Epiphone Casino, which he also still uses on tour.) paul_mccartney_epiphone_texan_red_wings_pittsburg_penguins_sticker_2012-e1355432041461-1024x768.jpg

Seems Roy Rogers guitar sold in the last few years for what I remember was over $500k.

I just looked those up. Regular spruce top on Gene autry guitar. I remembered them as white guitars. I guess light spruce looks white in black and white![emoji848]

I can think of a couple, when I hear these players these are instantly what I think of in my mind.

Clapton's SG in Cream, Bert Jansch's Yamaha Dreadnought, and Josh White's Martin 00-21.

What other guitars are famous like that?
It was played on over a hundred Hank William's songs by Don Helms. Don Helms traded for the Gibson Console Grande and had been playing it for years at the time of his death in 2008.

I think these two guys would disagree - vehemently:

Sorry, but these guys were synonymous with the White Falcon years before Billy even thought of picking up a guitar - and let's not forget the influence of Brian Setzer's $75 '59 6120 on the price of original Brooklyn Gretsch instruments in the 1980's...
