Yes of course, but isn't this sense of spaciousness what some people would mean when talking about 3 dimensional sound? Isn't it an analogy between the way reflexions may behave in a room or in a guitar ? (dampening or reflective walls = dampening or reflective back and sides , size of the room = size of the body, etc...)

Interesting thread.
I own 2 full size jumbo 12-strings and often play them back to back at home.
The maple Guild F-412 sounds like a great 12-string.
The rosewood Martin Grand J12-40E Special can sound like 1 standard tuned 6-string and 1 Nashville tuned 6-string guitar being played together at the same time.
