This one, which I built for myself about 10-11 years ago.

My old (long gone) 1976 Gibson J-200 was the best sounding Maple guitar I've played/owned. I've purchased other makes/models of Maple guitars over the years but don't own any because they all pale in comparison. I'll probably never own another because great looking Maple guitars don't necessarily make great sounding Maple guitars.

Have a bunch in the house - a 1953 Epiphone Triumph Regent, 1960 Gibson J-200, and 1930s Regal-made Oahu parlor. But my favorite is an early 1930s maple body Kay Kraft-built Oahu "Nick Lucas."

My former Goodall concert Pacific was the best maple instrument that I have ever played. I sold because l was afraid that I would ding it, and settled for a Taylor XX- RS at half the price. That said if I ever found a used Goodall parlor Pacific I would probably buy it . Chunky neck but the lush sound from maple!

Gibson J-200... followed by a Guild D-30
The Gibson belonged to my brother, and he eventually ended up selling it for some stupid reason. The Guild I owned and regret to this day ever selling it. That Gibson J-200 was a real beauty, though. It was so beautifully warm, but crisp. Very even with no crazy overtones like rosewood. |

My Webber 00 with chocolate cedar top and maple back/sides. Big guitar sound, super-even tone across the strings, with a great treble but not jangly or too high, really well framed tone. David Webber does maple extremely well! Love mine so much I invested in having fret markers put in, and a soundhole cut out of the side (upgraded guitar not yet photographed, coming soon...).

The maple parlor that my friend Rudy and I built is my favorite. Not only did we have a great time working together, but he was a patient teacher and allowed me to "drive the bus" in creating my first hand built guitar. It not only sounds and plays great but the maple used is beautiful (which my photography does not do justice to).

I have a Maton ebg808TE which is Queensland Maple back, sides and neck, spruce top. I'm a terrible photographer obviously. This guitar is set up so perfectly for me and is starting to settle into it's skin nicely, I've had it a little over a year.
