Flash and George, that's some beautiful wood, even more figured than the maple I got for my Taylorstock guitar. I've said it before and I'll say it again: the 2002 300-LTD is one of the best ones Taylor has ever offered. Congratulations!

Now, all you need is some gold hardware!

George, I got some gold Grovers and ebony buttons (both from FQMS) and then called up Taylor for the gold strap buttons to match. I think the gold and ebony work great with the guitar's coloring and give it a rich, elegant look for a very small investment ($35 for 6 tuners, $20 for 6 ebony buttons). Better still, you can do the work yourself with a small screwdriver and a small crescent wrench.

Go to http://www.taylor-gallery.com/taylorstock02/index.htm and scroll down to my username for the 355C-LTD, and you'll see what I mean. The pictures aren't great, but they'll do.

Alchu, keep your eyes open for an older 400-R model. These are the ones with the pinless bridge. Taylor made some rosewood versions here and there (I've seen then in both dread and GC styles) and they're excellent guitars. They usually go for reasonable prices, too.

I agree! When I ordered my 314ce (standard), I asked for gold hardware, and it makes my guitar look like ... Gold! The gold blends in so well with the gold top, and it will REALLY look sweet with the golden stain of the maple.

Flash,

Will you ever be able to put that beautiful back against you (out of view) long enough to play it?!! Maybe you can learn to play at arm's length

It's some of the best quilting I've seen!

I recently bought a 354ceLtd. with a 3 pc. maple back that is real pretty but doesn't have that nice "scalloped" look that yours has.
Keep it! It's a beauty!

I just got home from work, but before coming home I stopped at Musicstop. I played a 310LTD that simply blew me away. The quality of the wood was fantastic, but the tone was magic. I hate to say it, but I like the sound better than my 614ce. Musicstop has a website and they ship worldwide.

Hey, somebody tell Alberto!!

But I guess by the time the cost went from El Cajon to Halifax to Chile, you'd pay about 3X the starting price, huh? nevermind...
