Default Eastman 910CE opinions

Hi
I’m looking at an Eastman 910CE with no pickup. I haven’t played it but it appears to be in excellent condition. He’s asking $1700. Would that be considered a fair price ? Thanks for any help.

Prices seem to be all over the map, but from what I've seen hover in the $3K-4K range for a good one - as long as there are no structural issues I'd give it a road test (plugged and unplugged) before someone else does...

No pickup ,so unplugged only. It seems these guitars take a huge hit in resale. Thanks for the help.

I just bought one and I love it!

Mine did cost $4k. It's new, with pickup, has the tone curing treatment and custom inlays on tailpiece/headstock/neck. I love the acoustic sound of the instrument, which I strung with JP Jazz medium after extensive string test. The top is thin, which makes the guitar responsive for fingerstyle (and obviously there is plenty of clarity so you really enjoy those jazz chords).

If in good condition, I would pull the trigger (and you can add a floater later on).

Ll.

What did the owner do with the pickup? Is the output jack still in place, or was it removed as well?

$1600 is a very attractive price--archtop.com curently has an 805CE (with pickup) at $2250.

Great price. We've sold a few of these over $2K used.

If he'll take $1600, then I don't think you lose money even if you decide in a couple months it really isn't what you want. I'd get it.
