New Wireless from Joyo
I've been looking for a new wireless to use in my studio and office.
Getting all tangled up in guitar cables just aint for me. Found and ordered this from Amazon thought I'd give it a try. https://www.joyoaudio.com/product/284.html https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CY2FM7W8...roduct_details Pretty affordable at $79.00. I like the charging base setup where returning the receiver and transmitter to the base, recharges them like some of the more expensive Boss and Line 6 units. There's been volume loss or any change to the tone of the guitar I'm using that I can hear. Base charges via USB C and works with any kind of usb charging setup. Here I'm using a USB Multi port charger. No idea on battery life yet. They are quoting 6 to 8 hours.

Nice on price. I use the Line 6 with the Yamaha THRII. So liberating, even inside my house. Great for practice. Never used it for a gig.
Main downside is that you have to pull it out of the guitar or the amp when finished, or it'll run down the charge. Pretty minor. Or leave the amp on to charge it, which seems like a waste. Super happy. Glad there's a cheaper option with charger! |

yea, no cables is definitely what I like.
Happy with this purchase. It works great. A lot of transmitter/receiver models have a split usb charge cable allowing charging both at once, which works fine, but once charged, you should unplug them for sure. And my line 6 G30 uses AA I have rechargeables, but you gotta keep a set ready to go all the time. Not a big deal but if you don't stay on top of it, you need start burning standard AAs. This charge base setup is excellent. It just charges them till they're fully charged, and then shuts off. When you take them out of the base, they are fully charged and ready to go. if the base needs charging, just plug in a charger to the USB. Love the design. and so far, so good on usability.

I bought a cheap wireless system ("Horse" brand) off Amazon for 35 bucks a couple of years ago, because my buddy kept raving about his.
Love it - Works great. Best 35 bucks I've ever spent.. |

I imagine the receiver could be plugged into your pedal board input right? Every image I see of one it is plugged into the amp.

I've been using the XVive U2 system for several years. One cable that forks off the USB charging source to charge both transmitter and receiver. Never had a problem, and never detected any latency. Its range is also good (I've never strayed more than 15-20 feet from the amp). A number of colors available.
A little pricey, but Musician's Friend sometimes has them on the Stupid Deal of the Day.

I've aslo got a few similar very inexpensive ones as well. Guitaria was one set. They worked well, but every now and then, I'd get a momentary drop in signal. I've had these for a few years now, they still work fine but don't hold a charge like the used to. There was one other set that I tried that had a noticeable loss in volume when using it. I set those aside. Only set me back like 40 bucks so it was nothing to lose sleep over. I am really liking however the idea that Joy has with the charge base. So far, using it daily now, it works great.

Don't anybody dismiss a wireless unit because its cheap.
I use a couple sets of Lekato $59 units from Amazon. I am beyond amazed at the quality and reliability of these things. There is *NO* (noticable) lag whatsoever, no sound degradation etc. The batteries incredibly last me for full 4-hour gigs. I've had exactly two problems in three years of using them #1: the charging port broke loose from lots of use - it was not robust enough #2 - I once (one singular time), ran into some interference with our bass players new digital modeling pedal setup......so I kept my distance from his rig and the distortion went away These look like nice unit and I'd encourage anyone to not shy away simply because they are low priced. I'm at a apoint where I hate cords

nah, they also work. as I mentioned I have two of inexpensive ones
One works great has never failed The other works ok, but the volume loss is kind of a buzz kill so I don't use it the Joyo is 79 bucks so also not expensive. I have a line 6 relay G30, rock solid but around $300 bucks and has a base unit and a belt clip transmitter it's great but, it's added stuff these others don't have.
