Yeah! He's done some acting too!

What I find even more interesting about the man is the way he lives his life, avoiding the Hollywood madness. Good for him.

The first time I heard him play was about 10 years ago. On the last episode of the show Newsroom, he pulled out a guitar and performed How I Got to Memphis. Then the 2nd time was about a week ago on YT.

Yes he seems quite humble. Amazing he could go from playing a very serious role to his role in Dumb and Dumber.

Here's the other recent thread....not too far down.

https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/...d.php?t=685624

The mention of him being humble is certainly an understatement. He spends a lot of time in his original hometown here in MI where he owns The Purple Rose Theater.

A friend of mine does Rev War re-enactments - and a few years back they were doing one near Chelsea where Jeff lives. My buddy was sitting at a picnic table when they were taking a break and next thing he knew there was Jeff -just sitting and chatting with everybody like one of the guys.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jeff at the fund raiser for the Safety Harbor Art and Music Center about 10 years ago or so - much like his work with The Purple Rose Theater Todd mentioned above. He was definitely "just Jeff", not Mr. Daniels, etc. He pretty much was just your everyday nice guy music or beer drinking buddy - a gentleman with a guitar!

Here's a video from that night:

His original songs are the same - one to make you laugh your butt off and another to leave you misty.
