I'm a big fan of purple heart (visually) and that is the nicest set I've ever seen. I would love to hear this guitar. Both of them are stunning.

Well, here is a final shot on what I’m bringing to LaConner. All polished up and ready. I hope you can come by and give them a try! I’ll also be adding these to my website soon as available for purchase.

Thanks for following along!

Looking forward to bending sides on some new creations soon!

Looks like I will be up on the stage. If you’re in the area come by and say hello. I would love to hear if you saw these guitars on the forum.

Thanks TomB'sox it was really nice to meet you and Aspiring today!

Day one was a lot of fun, I really enjoyed being able to hear my guitars in some amazing players hands!

I even found a Madrona tree by the bridge. (it wasn’t too hard they are everywhere around here)

Joe it was a pleasure meeting you and I have to say I felt like the purpleheart guitar was one of my favorites at the show when I played it.

Highly recommend anyone there giving it a try.

That Purpleheart is a great guitar. Sounds great and the set-up is perfect, a joy to play. I am sure the others are as well, but I have not tried them yet.

What a fun weekend! Definitely making plans to be back next year. My guitar gears are already grinding on my next build.

It was really nice to put faces to so many from this forum. And I loved being able to put my guitars is the capable hands of some amazing players!

Thanks everyone for following along!

So I "met" Joe on this forum as you all have, but had not met him in person prior to the show. He is a super nice guy with a lovely family who were there to support and help him out. Now whether they will ever do it again after the experience, time will tell haha.

Joe's guitars are lovely. I really liked his set-up, the Purpleheart was stunning and so unique, but guess what, it sounded great too. A very nice bass and shimmering trebles. I would put it in the rosewood family of sound vs. the mahogany if asked. If I had endless money, it would have come to Texas.

I never got a chance to take any of his others into a quiet room. I did play another, the set-up was great again, but it was really too noisy to even hear myself play it.

The final thing I really liked was his body shape especially the curve of the upper bout on the bass side. I found if very artistic and different.

Most of all, Joe is a gracious, kind, and humble fellow who was a pleasure to meet.

No I still have that one available. But that’s ok I kind of thought it might be a bit of a rule breaker. It sure made for a fun show to let people play it.
Honestly it will be a little hard to let it go, but If you’re interested let me know I’m open to offers.

Wow TomB'sox I don’t even know what to say. It was a real pleasure to meet you and so many other amazing players and luthiers. The opportunity to put my guitars in peoples hands and sit back and see the joy they bring was so fun. A big thanks to everyone who came by and gave them a try!

I have to say, deciding to hop in here on the forum with my builds at first felt like walking into a room as a stranger where everyone else are old friends. But you all have made me feel so welcome, for that I am very appreciative.

I’m happy to report that my family has already given me support to do LaConner next year. So I guess it’s back to the shop.

Thanks again!

I just posted the Purpleheart Sucia in the guitars in stock for May. If you are interested check it out there. I did decide to offer a discount from the show asking price. Available for $6,800 including a Crossrock flight case.
