Lots of ECs!
I was perusing Guitar Center's Used section this morning, and noticed that there seemed to be a bunch of Martin 000-28ECs.
So I counted, and there were 12 of them. More of them than any other brand/model, it seemed. So what, you say? Well, I've drawn no conclusion except to say that is is obviously a popular guitar that's been around for awhile now. Maybe I could say that guys seem to move them along frequently, although that would be pure conjecture on my part. I had one once, but didn't keep it long. If I could get it back, I would get it set up and try different strings, and maybe keep it for a long while. It was a handsome thing, that's for sure. That is all.

I have one of those, and it's the only guitar that I cannot get rid of... it is destined for a family member one day, if all goes well.
It's a really great guitar, aside from having to work on the binding issue... Not sure why so many would be in the GC used inventory, other than they probably give a 'decent' value on it for trades? That is interesting...

Wondering if its the neck shape.
I love a good V neck, but I know many folks don't and find them too cumbersome. |

So, I like the 000 size. And I also admire the namesake of this guitar (Eric Clapton), so what's not to like?

I think a lot of people bought them because of the Eric Clapton connection and then discovered that they were nothing special and are trying to move them on. I have played a couple and not been impressed. And then there's the binding issue!

They are actually really nice guitars, IMO. At least mine is. I could not care less about signatures and (gotta be honest here) I'm really not a Clapton fan. I think that he is overrated. He's had some great songs, but as a pure guitarist he's middling.
I know that's sacrilege to some, but whatever The guitar is great.

Agreed. One of Martin's most popular so it's natural that there are a few for sale.
