Default Gotoh Tuners...

I bought a set of the large Gotoh Schaller style tuners for my Avalon.

https://www.stewmac.com/parts-and-ha...ionCode=0903-G

I ordered the gold as that's what the Avalon has now. I may or may not swap the knobs from my old set to the new set.

Hopefully the shaft holes in the guitar are the right size, we'll see.

Many of my guitars have been getting Gotoh upgrades lately. Excellent tuners. SG301 are similar to OE Yamaha, but still feel better. The SGV510 21:1 are top shelf.
Pictured. LLX6A with gold SGV510, FGX730SCA with antique SGV510, AC3M Deluxe with SG301 + Tone Ninja ebony buttons, FSX730SC with black SGV510 and pearl buttons from gold SG301, and LLX16 with gold SG301 and black L5 buttons from SGV510.

I have Gotohs on most of my instruments: on mandolins, banjos and mountain dulcimers as well as guitars. They just do a great job at getting and staying in tune.

Same here, Wade; as soon I get a guitar new to me, I'm looking for what Gotoh tuner I'll put on it. They're just consistently smooth, and the variety they offer--along with replacement tuners--makes customizing easy.
(I don't mind filling the old and making new screw holes either.)

I put the Antique Copper tuners on my W10ce. They were almost a perfect match for the back/sides.
