Default Visual difference Ivory / Bone

If I have a set of Ivory pins - nut and saddle and a set of cream color bone pins - nut and saddle, will I be able to see the difference ?

Would I be able to identify easily the bone set ?

The ivory set will be covered in the blood of the elephants... Bahahahaha.

But seriously though, the ivory may have more lines through it.

Yep, the ivory will have a grain pattern. Bone likely will not. And unless the ivory is polished, it will typically have a much more "matte" look to it than the bone.

End grain of ivory has "diamond" pattern criss-cross lines.
