ES and Fishman Pro Platinum EQ

Anyone have experience with this combo? I'm particularly interested in the "Smooth" feature and if it has any benefit with the ES.

I'm using a BBE Acoustimax currently and like it, but I'm not sure the Maximizer feature is an improvement on the ES. The EQ/notching portion and mute footswitch are very nice, but I'm thinking of going smaller (and sans wall wart.)
