Thumbs up Per Marklund OM-18 European Spruce and Mahogany

I'm looking to sell this wonderful Per Marklund OM-18, this one is European Spruce and Honduran Mahogany. Marklund studied under Blazer and Henkes and the tone really shines through, this one is on par with the best OMs I've ever played by guys like TJ Thompson and John Slobod, really fine instrument here!! It has a few dings that keep it from being completely mint but is very clean overall. Has a high end Hiscox case that it came with. Great 1 3/4" nut width and neck profile. It has an added strap peg on the neck heel but no pickup.

Here's a video of me playing this one.

Several songs (all but 2 songs) from this album were recorded on this guitar if you want some more sound files. https://open.spotify.com/artist/7I5K...5e1bd286374148

Default Big fan

Very fine sounding guitar by an up and coming luthier. Per Marklund specializes in replicating the Pre-War Martin sound. I have a 2020 000-28 Marklund BRW/Alpine Spruce which already is wide open. Mountain Song luthiers (do work for Dream Guitars) were mightily impressed with the build. Someone is going to be very happy with this one. GLWTS, Bobby.

Very nice. Are the body bindings rosewood? What build year is this guitar? I know this is a tough one, but in general how would you tonally compare this particular European spruce top to a great Adirondack top? Thanks much.

The guitar was built in 2020, the binding looks to be Indian Rosewood but I’m not 100% certain. The European Spruce gives it a bit of a warmth and sweetness and it’s a bit more open than Red Spruce would be right about now. Like I mentioned above the guitar holds its own with the best of the best OMs I’ve played which is saying a lot!!
