Cool Remember Passion, Grace & Fire ?

Al Dimeola
Paco De Lucia
John McLaughlin

Wow.

It's been almost 30 years ago. Did anyone see their US tour?
I saw them at Constitution Hall in DC in early 1983.

Today I dug through my old records and found that little gem. What a memory.
My CD is in better shape.

That was really something. That will last me until I don't live no more.

Yey yep. Fastest playing I ever did see. That got me hooked on DiMeola for a decade. Great tour. And it turned the world on to PDL.

I saw the trio once in Montreal back in the mid 1990s. I was accompanied by a lovely friend who travelled all the way from Toronto to attend the concert.

I then saw Paco solo in Toronto a few years ago (again in great company) and had a great time as well.

Sure do. Has it been that long? When I discovered that record I played it every night for months. Drove my dorm mates crazy. Still have 2 vinyl copies, a CD copy and one on the computer.
Never saw all three play together, but did manage to see Al Dimeola twice and John McLaughlin once over the years, and last year, finally, Paco De Lucia. All incredible musicians and memorable evenings.
I remember shaking Al Dimeola's hand after the first concert, hoping some of that magic would rub off and I would be able to play like him. Alas, not to be . But I'm still having fun!
