I trusted my GP, when she told me it's time for a tune-up in the hospital, and I'm glad I did. My problem was not what I thought. My hemoglobin was low, and my heart was too weak to keep enough oxygen in my blood. It required 2 units of plasma and 3 transfusions along with a diuretic IV to reduce the swelling in my legs.
After 5 days with no guitar to play (and no access to AGF), I decided to discharge myself (against doctor's orders) because I was feeling better, and didn't much care for the service I was getting. Playing my guitars turned out to be much better therapy than laying around in bed. Sometimes, you just have to take charge and trust your gut!
