I first resaw the parts on a bandsaw then sand them to a predetermined thickness on my drum sander. Once the layers are ready to go I glue the up in a vacuum bag press us in a special urea glue that will cure in a vacuum and later be heat stable so as not to come apart when heat bending.
As for ripping them into strips I use a bandsaw with a fine tooth blade. It takes a while, I can’t imagine how long it would take with a hand saw. I think my hand would fall off. [emoji3]
