A Walden is the only guitar that I've ever accidentally walked out of a shop with. Several years ago I played a few of them and I just decided, heck, it sounds good, plays good, and for that price what the heck. I forget the model that I ended up with, I've and since sold it on to a friend, but, yeah. Good value for money. And to my ears, yeah, better than any Yammis I remember playing.
