I just traveled from LA to Australia with my new guitar in a Mainstage case and a Colorado soft cover. Mainstage make a really fine case, very similar to the Caltons. The Colorado cover shows up all the scuff marks that came with the trip and I am really grateful I had it.
That said, my Hoffee case (on another guitar) is also fantastic, and it feels a lot lighter than the Mainstage or my older Calton. If weight is an issue for you, check out the Hoffees.
