This is a constant pain for acoustic players. Even at GC, where they have a separate room for acoustic guitars, there's constant bleed because the thrashers like to turn the amps up to 11. I was at a GC recently and someone was playing a bass so loud that it was literally rattling the walls.

The ideal thing is a store that caters to acoustic players where the salespeople aren't commissioned, but there aren't a lot of them, unfortunately. If you don't have a choice, I recommend calling or writing to the store's manager or owner to tell them about your experience. If they're smart, they'll listen.
