The pins in my Emeralds are as light as light as a feather and are some kind of very hard thermoplastic (?)made by “Graphtec” .
Nice looking , black with pau shell inlay.
I have read that light “plastic” pins give the best bass response, through to heavy brass pins giving the least.
Hence the use of plastic pins as original on many top shelf Martins.
