The larger bodied guitars (dreadnoughts and jumbos) are better for strumming due to their volume and heavier strings. That would correspond to the x10 and x15 models.

The choice of body wood is basically up to what kind of tone you want from your guitar. Sitka spruce tops are favored for hard strumming because it is said that they are harder to "overdrive." But cedar and Engelmann spruce work fine as well.

I have an 810, plan to get a 315 soon, and love the sound of the 510 as well. All great for strumming.
