You're talking about spending $1150, so I'll just throw it out there that you could find a used D-18 in excellent condition for about $1500--radical improvement over the 16 and the Seagull, in my opinion. People also seem pretty excited about the new special edition spruce top D-15 (different, arguably better, bracing pattern than the 16). Food for thought.
