I haven't tried mine for this but I'd expect that owner is probably right: the Cabaret was developped with jazz in mind. It's drier (or less boomy) than a regular classical but probably (still) much more resonant than a traditional flamenco.

You could check if there's a used Picado for sale that you can try out, e.g.
