Did you get the headstock backstrap as well?
I know what you mean about adjusting to a new Taylor. My previous acoustic was a Yamaha APX7 from 1990's ..which I'd modded and played like a dream but sounded like a turd. When I got my "real" Taylor (not Baby) it was such a shock to hear a pure tone coming from it that I was a bit hesitent in my playing. Thankfully a few months and a few gigs later, I'm quite comfortable with it.
