Sure, you can get away without paying for an item you agreed to buy, but it's completely unethical. Because of such, eBay can block you from using their services.
It's also a major hassle for sellers. Sellers pay to list items on eBay, so if a buyer doesn't pay, then the seller has to wait for eBay to refund listing charges.
In short: If anyone uses eBay and commits to purchasing an item, payment should be sent.
Congrats on the new guitar, though. I didn't see the full listing, but if the seller offers a return period then you have nothing to lose except shipping costs.
