I have two guitars I will never sell. I'm partial to maple, when done right anyway (there are so many bad maple guitars out there) and I have two of the best. In fact, I like both of these so much I sold off my third acoustic.
#1) '76 Guild F-50 (maple). I have played at least a thousand different models of guitars in my life, and maybe three might sound as good. All three were much more expensive hand-built guitars as well, and I'd have to play them in the same room side by side to be sure.
'75 Guild G-37. My dad gave me this as a "beater" when I said I was considering an Epiphone Frontier masterbuilt for the same reason. It's way too nice to use as a beater. There is some signs of play in the fretboard, otherwise I'd think it was a closet guitar. He had some really thick coated strings on it that will kill the sound of a guitar, but as soon as I got them off I was really amazed how much I like this guitar too.
