FAT neck custom dreadnought?

I’m so disappointed in the necks I find on many acoustics that are “off the rack”… so many necks are described as “chunky” online and they just end up feeling like Ibanez necks in my hands!
Can anyone point me in the right direction for luthiers who make traditional dreadnoughts with FAT necks up to about $4k?
I like 1” at the first fret, no taper. 43mm nut and volutes are ideal.
Anywhere in the country but somewhere between NYC and dc would be great so I could potentially go to their workshop.
Not opposed to luthiers abroad either!
Thanks!

You should have attended the Artisan Guitar Show this past weekend. There were many luthiers exhibiting that you could have talked with in person. It’s not a difficult task for us to carve a neck to your specs though many may far exceed your price point.

As Tim said, any custom builder will carve the neck exactly as you wish. I have sent patterns to folks using one of those contour tools and making a cardboard pattern.

Expense is the issue, you might find some in that range, but they are becoming few and far between as their costs have risen along with everything else.

I have a guitar show coming up in Sept. with 14 different luthiers coming, but I am not sure anyone there is in the 4000 dollar range.
