The Sound in Your Head....
We all have it. Many of us continue to chase it. When we find it, not much else is sweeter.
Showing you mine (Collings D2HAT). Hoping you will show yours! http://i.imgur.com/XVPGpikh.jpg |
Collings builds yet another amazing guitar, and it’s yours! Love it!

While this is not my most expensive or best looking guitar, this guitar has the best sound and playability of any guitar I have ever played.

Definitely this one…my 2011 Bourgeois DB Signature dread (Adi/Brazilian). Makes me smile every day…

Even if Brazilian isn't "better" than Indian for tone or whatever,
this shows what's unmistakably WOW about Brazilian  ... https://i.postimg.cc/HxZWckGr/212313...-B72-AAB88.jpg |
Beautiful guitars shown on this thread. What’s not to love here? That’s an interesting question Kori. If someone asked what’s your absolute “best” sounding guitar, it probably wouldn’t be either of these 2. However these 2 are the guitars I love and enjoy the most. So these are the ones “in my head.”

I'm usually grabbing one of these - Avalon, Furch, Gibson or Larrivee. Usually its the Avalon (1st picture on left).

My all-time favorite guitar, a Guild Orpheum 12 Fret D: red spruce top and bracing over Cuban mahogany, short scale, deep body, 1 13/16” nut, and a big D shaped neck. The tone is big and deep and very lyrical. It chased three great guitars out of the house and shares space with sweetheart of a D18GE. But if this 12 fretter was the only guitar I owned for the rest of my life, I’d have no problem with that.
