Looking to pick up a used D-16GT

Post edited. I was asking about prices on a specific used one I saw listed, but the smartest move is leaving my money in my pocket at the moment.

I was going to ask you the basic question: What would this one do for you that another in the stable would not? But it looks like you already decided to pass. FYI, that price was not bad, but it wasn't a flat-out "no questions asked" steal either.

I think the overall driver on this was nostalgia in a way. I believe the GAS has been averted in this particular instance. Hallelujah

I was just wondering what the price was? Only reason I ask is I see one in the local CL , and the asking price is $700, is that in the ballpark for that model?

MSRP is $1650. Figure that the price for a mint used one is 50% of that ($825) it may have been a good deal but you'd have to take a look at it.

I've had one for about 5 years now. It's a decent guitar though if I had to do it all over again I would have saved my money and went to Guitar Center to pick up a rosewood/Sitka MMV. Many have issues with the Richlite fingerboard and bridge but I actually dislike the Spanish cedar neck. It's softer than mahogany and capo use has left the neck on mine all marred.

Thx for that info Kwakatak, I also like the MMV.

The one I saw was $750, but included an installed LR Baggs M1A, which IMO shouldn't really impact the price THAT much.
