Antonio Lauro's Valse Criollo

A recording I did several years ago. Guitar I played is a 1968 Ramirez 1-a MT.

Great playing Derek!

What else do you have hidden away in your classical recording vault?

I bought the Ramirez about 1970 and learned a lot of classical pieces on it over the years. When I started recording things I had not played the guitar for a few years and I put the guitar up for for sale.
Since I had the recording gear then I decided to relearn this piece and record it before saying goodbye to it. Nothing else was recorded on it.

Most excellent. I've heard this one before, but it's always a pleasure to listen to it again Rick. Lauro is a great composer, and you capture the feel of the music and the waltz beautifully. A challenging piece too in this regard.
Just goes to prove that good classical technique can migrate to all styles. :)
Thanks for the listen!
