Tim and i are preparing for the 2024 McJam. Make your plans soon to sign up and join us!

The McJam attendees are saddened at the recent passing of our McJam and the AGF's Tinman / RWSkaggs. Ross was a highly talented guitar player who was always sharing his faith in the ability to live long after a heart transplant began beating as his own heart. He was the character who shared the humor no matter the situation. Wife, Mickki and Ross always made the party a party. Mickki is still a part of the clan. She did visit us last month. We assured her she is still one of us and she is welcome to attend!

I am taking suggestions for the classes. Rodger seems to be drafting Kurt and yet there is no stability of facts spoken of by Kurt. Maybe Kurt is temporarily incognito but we count on him joining the McJam this year.

I'm taking suggestions on the favorite food truck. I'll see what we can to make it happen. Steak-n-it plans to attend both days. A new truck hopes to come. He has signed on, but I don't know the type of food he is offering at this point. (Is this a sign I should be reading better?)

We have a few door prizes prepped. Donations are always appreciated.

Snacks will be on the patio. Adrianne is making plans for baking cookies. Feel free to add to that list, too.

A weekend of coffee is free if it is served on the McJam patio. If it runs low there is plenty more available for the making. Food trucks charge their own pricing. Tim and Mary do not collect funds or supplies from the trucks. They are here to serve you. After they leave I assume there will still be patio food until closing.

If you have read this far and want to know more serious details about joining the event contact me and I will send information of how you can join the fun.

Rodger and his trusty assistant will put on a class on how to create YOU TUBE.
Maybe Rodger can add a whole bunch of McKnight guitar playing YOU Tubes on the McKnight Guitar You Tube site that Michael Chapdelaine. It's all free educational information.

Mary 03-15-2024 04:25 PM

Because Rodger said so: :D

Rodger - You Tube?

Please add a bench top shop event to install a LR Baggs PUP in Steve’s guitar.

I heard from our AGF Queequeg on Eclipse day. He has signed up for the McJam 2024.

Been missing our old friends!

Queequeg 04-11-2024 03:51 PM

Eclipse Day???
It was your BIRTHDAY, Mary!!! :)

Yes, I can confirm that rumor.
I have booked a motel for McJam 2024.
I had hand surgery (again) on March 25th but it's healing quickly I think.

I can't wait to see all you wacky guitar nerds.
:D

Mary 04-12-2024 10:11 AM

It will be great to see you. I sent a long note to you. Internet in this village is always whacky. I hope it goes out to you.

Hey ... we love our Quacky nerds! Maybe we can add to this list this year.

Mary 04-12-2024 02:10 PM

Steve Kitchen was our visitor today. You will see pictures in the McKnight Snippets section.

He mentioned there should be a McJam class called Cedar verses Spruce. So.... Steve will put that one on. Rodger is there for any other answers because Rodger has perfect attendance.

:D:D And that's how he rolls!

Thanks, Roger. I'm starting to play a little bit already.
I'll have to dust that one off and polish it up. Astonishing how much I've forgotten after 3 months of not playing at all.
I'm really looking forward to seeing you all.

The funny thing is Mary, having heard the song ever since I was a little boy, it wasn't until I was in my 50s and started playing that song that I realized Waltzing Matilda isn't even a waltz!

You can make it one and we can open the dance floor to watch a few of us trip over our dance partners.

McJam 2024

McJam -

Central Ohio - June 21 -22, 2024

2 days of guitar fun. See the shop. Hang with educated guitar players. Many of us are only listeners. It doesn't matter where you fit in. If you can respect the product Tim puts out then you are welcome to share your days with us.

Shirts for attendees this year are $10. All attendees must wear the McKnight t-shirt for security purposes.

*** Common sense rules apply.

Steak-n-it food truck on site both days

Door prizes Saturday. If you put something on the table besure your name in the jar. All Saturday attendees should win a prize.

Many pictures will be taken. You will be seen in pictures on this forum. Group photos both days.

Neil will provide loft security over night for those who don't choose to drag guitars to motels.

If you have any questions or comments contact me, Tim, Rodger. Why Rodger? Because Rodger has perfect attendance and knows all the answers. ;)
