Rule #2 of the AGF: no price discussions. Look around on Ebay for comparables.

There are three basic ways to do a valuation:
I. Comparables
II. Precedent transactions
III. Discounted Cash Flows

I would go with I and II for your situation, probably triangulate and weigh them and then settle for a range of values. Some sources of data are Craigslist, eBay, and I think that Guitar Center or Musicians Friend has a "Used Gear" section.

Good luck!

Wait I don't think I'm understanding. You have a 514ce you just got, and you want to sell it? Did you inherit it or something? Because buying it and then selling it immediately seems interesting hahaha.

Send me an e-mail to [email protected] and I'll see if we can't do a deal.

Yeah I'm interested too, and I really want a 514ce. But I really don't know if I got the money atm. Gah...

Since it's on ebay right now, this will be easy...your BIN price is too high, so people are going to send you offers. You will get some lowball offers, but eventually you will most likely get some offers that will be at the high end of the range for that instrument. Ebay is the worlds largest used guitar market, so that's the value.

Ah well a lot of people don't like the Expression System that Taylor offers anyway. The price difference might be just a couple hundred comapred to a CE, but nothing too pricey. I don't know if this is bad ethics, since I haven't said any actual prices, just a difference.

Man such a deal, makes me go crazy. I'd sell my GC8 for one haha.
