One $4.5k guitar or three $1,500 guitars?
Would you rather have one great guitar or three pretty good guitars with different tone woods?
|
I have no idea how much I've spent on guitars to find the right fit for me...but I'd probably rather not know.
I would choose the 4.5 grand AND the three $1500 guitars option if it were available. But since it's not I would choose the three $1500. I like having some variety in size and tone woods. |
One great guitar for me 4.5K gives you access to some great acoustics.
|
I would take the three $1,500 guitars. One would have mahogany B/S, one would have Rosewood B/S, and would would be solid mahogany, B/S/T. All would be dreads and all would likely be the upper end of the scale Asian guitars.

I'd definitely get the $4.5k guitar.

I can't justify owning one guitar that is worth more than my car...but I'd go with a couple $2,250's!! ;). Lots of good ones in that price range...
|
I agree with 7 palms, lots of great buys in the used $2K to $2,500 or so range.

For me, quality over quantity. You could get an awesome used boutique guitar for $4.5K. That would do it for me.
|
Definitely the 4.5K guitar.

So...
I'd buy something really nice for the wife, and maybe two nice guitars. Perhaps a middling priced Breedlove, and a J45. Or a Larrivee OM40r, and an older Yairi. But you have to give homage to the spouse that makes it all possible. |
$4.5 guitar for me.
|
I'd go with the 3 lower priced guitars. I'd have a heck of a selection rather than just one.
|
I have well under that in my 810ce, 314ce and 324e and am extremely happy so I have to go 3.
|
One quality guitar for me, thanks.
