I am usually not a fan of Sunburst, but....

....this Waanders Koa/Engelmann Grand Auditorium has got me drooling all over the place. It really complements the guitar, makes the bindings and purfling pop and it's not too red or dark.

What do you guys think?

Nicely photographed!

I think that each of those pictures is worth more than 1,000 words. That's really a beauty....

Personally I don't see that as a "burst" which usually have stronger color variations, but like an Ambertone which is much more subtle. Engelmann over Koa, I'll bet that Waanders sounds great................;)

The Martin on the left is a Martin Ambertone, far right a 30's Sunburst, that Waanders, which is lovely, looks more like the subtle tone transitions rather than a stark burst.

What's not to love

Unlike most bursts --- I love the softer contrast. And it's carried through on the back, sides, neck and headstock. Simply gorgeous. Thanks for sharing Joost.

Those are two fantastic looking bursts!

I much prefer subtler bursts and that is a beautiful example, thanks for posting it.
