Pm JT1. John Thomas. He is the author of Kalamazoo Gals. He wrote the book on old Gibsons … literally.

It's been refinished, has a replacement pickguard, has holes drilled in the top and a pickup jammed into the fingerboard and they're asking more for it than what you can buy an all original 1963 LG-1 for.

Other than that.....

Hey, it's an old Gibson, so it's still cool.

As stated before lots of modifications. To me I wouldn’t like that it’s Ladder braced and it’s from a lower quality era. I would suggest looking for a pre-56 LG-2 or a 30’s L-00, the older the better.
But if you love the one your looking at, make them an offer, it’s not that much money.

Thanks!

The OP has a question about a 1960s Gibson flattop acoustic. Alas, my knowledge about Gibson flattops ends with 1945.

I was to late it already sold.

You dodged a bullet. It was heavily modified and overpriced. You can get a much nicer LG-3 for that same money if you're looking for a ladder braced smaller body Gibson.
