Found the best string combo for the GS Mini
 

At least for the HV Mini. I been playing with strings. Actually liked the light gauge PB I tried. Lost a little but not much. Went back to Mediums and got that feels like a cable effect with the low E. For my voice I often tune down a half step. That was the ticket, Mediums tuned down a half. Feels better and just booms!

I love tuning my GS Mini down 1/2 step! I also love it tuned normal, the mediums on GS Mini have a bounce to them (best word I can find) when I adjust my attack just right I can get tone out of it I can't anything else in quite the same way. So my preference remains with the choice Bob Taylor made when designing it, PB Mediums... but I think for some people the HD Light's will be a good fit. I also continue to think putting light gauge strings on GS Mini just destroys natural resonance it's capable of. It's built and braced for medium's.
