A while ago i came across a thread on another forum about a documentary on the history of the acoustic guitar.Does anyone know what doc i am talking about?It aired on the bbc and ive been trying to watch it.Any help appreciated.

Hi there. I think that the series was called "The Story Of The Guitar" and was presented by Alan Yentob. Above is a link to the BBC site, which has a few clips, although it doesn't appear to be possible to view the programmes via the website. Some of it may have been posted onto YouTube. Highlight for me was an interview with Wayne Henderson... Wasn't just about acoustics though, lots of electric action as well.

I found the documentary disappointing.
More about Yentob's nostalgia for his youth and how the guitar played it's part in it.

A serious look into the history and development of the acoustic guitar, would make for a fascinating programme though.

Thanks guys,i did search for the docu on youtube and found the same one with mostly electric,it was good so i watched the whole thing.Kinda disappointing it didnt mention acoustics too much though.
