NGD Martin SC10E Sapele
1 Attachment(s)
It's actually 2 weeks old...I needed a backup to my Rainsong CH-OM, so I went out shopping and played a spruce topped SC10E and really liked it, filed it away to think about for a week. When I went to play the spruce topped one again, it had just come out in an all Sapele version. Played it, liked it even more than the spruce topped version and bought it. I just love the neck on this thing, the sapele is very alive sounding for a normally warm sounding wood. I've gigged it 4 times already, it is such a comfortable guitar, it plays amazing, but the Sonitone has to go.

Nice looking guitar, but yes, the Sonotone has to go. What will you replace it with?

Congrats on the pretty guitar!
I have heard some live demos of the Sonitone pickup system, and I, too, didn't think it was all that impressive. You've got lots of terrific alternatives. Have fun with this new guitar! - Glenn |
Thanks a lot lowrider and Glenn.
Lowrider, I'm deciding between a Baggs Element (I've had good success with it in my Rainsong) and the HiFi. I'm really on the fence... |

Nice one. I like the SC10 series. Make some music.

I went with the Baggs Element VTC. I'm very satisifed with it. I know a lot of people don't like the Element, but I do, it just works for my gigs. |
Congrats on the new Martin, Joe! Glad you like it!

Here's the one i used. You have to just finagle it enough so it fits to the circumference. It's not perfect, but it's close. https://www.guitarcenter.com/Proline...92606661781.gc |
