Webspace and mp3s
 

For those of you who upload mp3s of their music to the web, who are you using for this service? I know there are a slew of companies offering this service, some "free" and some not. I was just curious as to what everyone was using and what you recommended.

i use yousendit and megaupload. both are free.

Soundclick here also, free, decent sound player and links (see link in the signature).

I like Box.net, it's free with a very clean interface.

I use putfile but it's been really buggy. I'd do soundclick but I mainly do covers.

You put covers on putfile but not soundclick?

Soundclick is strictly for original material? No covers allowed?

I use soundclick, here is the policy for posting covers:

"Licensing of digital cover songs is an evolving issue. So all guidelines below are based on our best understanding of the current copyright law and is subject to change. Please note that our 'music submission agreement' requires you to take care of all required copyrights clearance and payments.
Having said that, cover songs can be posted legally. To post cover songs online you must agree to pay statutory royalty rates to the publisher of the original song.

An exception to this rule are songs in the Public Domain which don't require any royalty payments."

Seems to be some misunderstanding?
